
Megan Ara is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing comprehensive, individualized care. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota. She began her career in emergency and trauma nursing, spanning across Colorado, Hawaii, Minnesota, and North Dakota, where she discovered her passion for mental health. Driven by her 20 years of nursing experience and a deep commitment to empowering individuals on their mental health journey, Megan went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She believes in the uniqueness of each person’s path to wellness and takes a holistic approach mental health, guided by empathy, warmth, and a genuine desire to meet clients exactly where they are.
As a military spouse of 15 years, Megan understands the unique challenges faced by military families, from navigating complex healthcare systems to frequent relocations. This experience has shaped her compassionate, client- focused approach. She is committed to supporting the mental wellness of individuals across the lifespan, from youth to older adults, by tailoring care to meet the needs of every stage of life.
Outside of her work, Megan finds joy in traveling, camping, skiing, and spending time in nature with her family. She also enjoys gardening, nurturing both her surroundings and her own sense of balance and well-being.
