Her scholarly journey began at Harvard University, where she earned her undergraduate degree with honors, and continued to Duke University, where she completed her medical degree. During medical school, she also earned a master’s degree in public health at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Geers completed her 7-year Plastic Surgery residency at Northwestern University, one of the premier plastic surgery training programs in the country. After her residency, Dr. Geers refined her plastic surgery knowledge and skills with a 1-year Advanced Cosmetic Plastic Surgery fellowship in Beverly Hills. Additionally, Dr. Geers was twice selected as an Operation Smile Regan Fellow. As a Fellow, she traveled abroad to perform reconstructive procedures which allowed children and adults with cleft lip and palate deformities regain their smile and ability to speak.
